Viral Marketing Examples: Learn How to Market Like the Pros

Here you will see some viral marketing examples that are considered effective by Business Week and other experts. The several techniques used are unique and they were effective for many different reasons. Some inspired curiosity.

In 2001, Business Week cited advertising for the Blair Witch Project as a striking example of viral marketing.  The advertising campaign insinuated that the footage was “real”, filmed by a group of college students that had disappeared, presumably leaving only their video camera behind.

Teasers were first seen on TV and then posted on the internet.Viewers were highly encouraged to share the footage with all their friends. The film grossed over $248 million and cost only $35,000 for the production.Who wouldn’t want to see sky high profits like that?

Building Your Brand On Word of Mouth Sales

Word of mouth sales are something that have been around ever since mankind discovered commerce. If someone liked a product or a service or thought it was cool, they would recommend it to all of their friends and family. This phenomenon continues, in spite of the fact that we have other, more sophisticated advertising sources.  In fact, if you learn how to utilize the basic concepts behind word of mouth, you could actually make even more sales utilizing the same high-power advertising methods.

Let’s consider Kashi, an American company that prides itself on selling wholesome, all-natural food products.Even having an established brand, they decided it would create even more buzz using television and word of mouth together, (a perfect combination). The television part would come through a commercial, while the word of mouth part came through a special give away or incentive.

Marketing Your Brand On The Internet

Every day sees the launching of a new brand on the net. In reality, the majority of them will fail within the first year and most will not even appear on the radar to start with. Then of course you have the more traditionally offline brands that are venturing online and in the hope of unearthing whole new markets. These companies tend to have the finances to make a splash but even they find it a whole lot harder than they expected get foothold online. Let’s examine two tactics used by the online experts to get brands noticed and respected.

Advertising . This is a very quick and relatively easy way to get your brand into Internet user’s paths. There are many forms out there such as banner advertising or Googles Adwords, and some are probably more appropriate for your brand than others. It’s worth taking some time to select the most appropriate type and test the water before you commit large amounts of money. Set aside a small budget for lots of different types of online advertising and then gradually increase your spend with the ones that give you highest return on investment and brand awareness. Equally important is choosing the right locations to focus your advertising efforts. If you specialise in giving liability insurance quotes for example, there is not much benefit to you advertising on a teen magazine website.

Social Media. There has been a lot of hype about social media over the past few years but their are few people who know how to get the most from it. Often people think they can start an online group, get a few people to join and the thing will snowball. The reality of it is that you have to work very hard, engage with the people you are trying to target and nurture groups so that they grow and start to build confidence in your brand. Much like with online adverting, where you place yourself in social domains is very important. If you are trying to promote a hair salon for example, you will want to be checking out beauty and fashion forums, joining groups that are related to hairstyling and contributing content to these places on important topics such as salon insurance or where you can buy the best hairdryers.

Best way to brand your business

There are a lot of ways to grow a business.Of course using advertising is the best way.You have what is called direct response advertising. And you have what is known as brand advertising.I would like to explore the method of branding.

Now the objective of branding your business are two.You would like for your name to become familiar so more people will trust your company. And you want the consumer that needs that product or service to think of your brand.

So to use branding most effectively there are a few ways. There is a great way to brand that I want to share with you which is to use mobile billboards.  I will offer my perspective from what I have experienced first hand running my own San Diego mobile billboards company.

There are a couple of options in using mobile billboards.  First you can have trucks built specifically for that job.Or you could use trucks in use now and just use it’s side for the advertisement. This is also referred by the name of truck advertising.  San Diego truck advertising has been very successful for my clients.

Now why is mobile billboards so effective in branding? Well mainly due to the fact your ads get seen. The alternate forms of advertising do have an issue. There problem is that it might not be seen by the consumer. That isn’t the way it is with truck advertising.Unlike radio or TV this can’t be turned off.  It gets viewed clearly by the consumer in traffic. So your message gets read and heard.

So if you are in need of great ways to effectively brand your business, mobile billboards may be something to choose.  When you compare the mobile billboards prices you will be pleased.  It is very cost effective compared to TV or radio.Yet as pointed out earlier your message will be seen.

It is a great and strong way to brand your business.Businesses far and wide have seen it’s power and love it.Your business should look at it as an option as well.Especially if your objective is to have people learn all about it.
